Thamani helps you see fair market prices across Abuja. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can to run the app.

Who we are

What we collect

We collect only what the app needs to work for you:

Account: your email address and authentication details, so you can sign in.
Preferences: your area and the markets you follow, so prices are relevant to you.
Contributions: prices you report and any photos you attach to a submission.
AI questions: the questions you ask the price assistant and a monthly count, used to apply your plan limits.
Basic app data: app version and device type, used to fix bugs and keep the app stable.

We do not collect your contacts, precise GPS location, or browsing activity outside the app.

How we use it

To show you current and fair prices for the goods and markets you care about.
To process price reports you submit and reflect them in the data others see.
To answer your price questions and enforce the monthly question limit on your plan.
To operate, secure, and improve the app.

AI processing

Some prices are AI-estimated, and the in-app assistant uses AI to answer your questions. When you ask a question, the text of that question is sent to our AI provider to generate an answer. We do not send your email or account identity with it, and your questions are not used to train third-party models.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the app, under agreements that limit them to that purpose:

Supabase — database, authentication, and storage.
RevenueCat, with Apple and Google — to manage subscriptions and payments. Card details go to the app stores, never to us.
Our AI provider — to generate price estimates and answer questions.

Data security

Data is encrypted in transit and access to it is restricted. Your own rows (profile, submissions, usage) are protected so only you and our service can read them. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. Price reports may remain in the aggregate price history after your account is gone, but with no link to your identity. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To make a request, email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

Thamani is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
